1967 Camaro RS Convertible
General Information
We are pleased to bring this extra clean 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS Convertible "matching numbers" 327 V8 to market. This is the real deal. This is your chance to
own an un-molested matching numbers 67 Camaro RS. The motor, transmission and rear end have all been decoded and are the original items to this car. This
Camaro is rust free and 100% solid with all the factory floors and panels. This camaro is the best driver quality convertible I have seen in a while.
The car is a rust free California car. The car was purchased out of San Diego by a dealer in Arizona and is now in our possession. The California owner stated that
they bought the car in the current condition you see today from the previous owner in California. The car is a 15 year old resto project. The car has held up great and
currently has no concerns. The car shows 92,015 actual miles on the odometer. The odometer works perfect and the title shows actual miles. We are selling the car
as an actual mile car.
The engine compartment is clean and tidy just the way it came from the factory with no additional parts. This motor was not just painted and dolled up for you guys.
This is what it looked like when I got the car. This simply a really clean engine comparment with factory parts and factory wiring looms. The wiring on the engine is
clean and tidy and has not been patched together all over the place due to broken wires and such. Even the ballast "cocktail shakers" are in both corners of the of the
engine compartment mounted to the ends of the core support.
The powerplant in this Camaro is an ultra reliable factory GM 327ci 210hp turbo fire V8 motor backed by a 3 speed manual Saginaw transmission that shifts perfectly.
The transmission has the correct embossed case. The motor puts out 210hp and runs excellent with no smoke or hard start. This car drives down the interstate at
75mph no problem. The motor features factory intake manifold, factory 2 barrell carb, mechanical fuel pump, points ignition, 12v coil, 7 mm plug wires, factory pulleys,
factory brackets, factory exhaust manifolds, factory Chevrolet embossed valve covers and a factory air cleaner with original stickers. The engine also features a
factory radiator, factory shroud and a factory cooling fan. What I am trying to say is that the motor has not been messed with and all of the parts look to be to factory
spec. This has not been hotrodded. This car even has the factory plug wire holders and the original valve cover spreaders!!
The exhaust system starts with the factory manifolds which feed into a new dual exhaust system that exits out the back of under the rear quarters. The exhaust
system features a low clean factory sound at the pipes. The car is not outfitted with a loud flowmaster style exhaust. The car does not need loud pipes to create
attention it does it all by itself.
This Camaro starts right away with no fiddling of the gas pedal and idles instantly. You don't have to try and keep it running it does it all by itself. Like I said the motor
starts, idles and runs with no issues. I would put my family in this car and send them out alone without concern.
The exterior of this car is a testament to clean styling and early muscle car lines. The GM designers hit it on the head with the Camaro bodystyle. The car was clean,
compact and quick. All the things the consumers wanted in the 60's. This car is extremely clean and shows very well. Like I said the car is an older restoration and
was completed around 15 years ago. The car was well done and the paint has held up amazing well!! The car features a bolero red paint scheme with black rally
stripes. The convertible top is black showing no signs of abuse, damage or rips. The rear window is in great shape and is not cracked or scratched beyond belief. This
camaro is a factory optioned rally sport with the correct grille, hide away headlamps, rs front fender emblems, rs gas cap and the rs front hood stripe in black. The
other options on this camaro are tinted strip windshield(no cracks), safety plate windows(see pics), bow tie emblem driver/passenger side mirrors, windshield
washers, chrome antenna(not orig), chrome factory camaro badging, 327 factory badging, chrome door handles, chrome wheel well moulding trim, chrome rocker
panel trim, front license plate holder, rear license plate lamps, reverse lamps, dual exhaust and a power convertible top to finish the package off. The grille,
headlamps, turn signal lens and rear brake lamp clusters are all in great condition showing no damage. The chrome on the car looks to be all factory original and
shows great for it's age and shines well. The front and rear bumpers show some normal scratches/wear from age but they are both straight with no dents and they still
shine bright. The car was outfitted with rally wheels sporting factory chrome beauty rings and factory Chevrolet logo dog dish center caps. The dog dish caps are not
correct for the car due to the power brake text. The wheels are wrapped in republic 205/70r14 tires showing excellent condition with over 80% tread life left.
The interior of this Camaro is all original. The car features factory front bucket seats, adjustable front seats(tracks work perfect), factory center console with
gauges, chrome floor shifter, factory faux wood finish steering wheel, power windshield wipers, dimmable dash lights, courtesy floor entry lights, day/night rear view
mirror, dual sun visors, hazard lights, heat/defrost controls, 12v cigarette lighter, pull out dash ashtray, floor mounted head lamp high beam switch and parking brake
release. The factory Delco am radio with dash mounted speaker is mounted in the dash but there is no sound. The heat/ defrost controls move properly and the fan
motor turns on and runs quite. The glovebox opens to reveal the glove box light. This camaro even features factory front and rear seat belts with factory 1967 gm tags
still sewn into the belts. Both of the front seat belt retractors work perfect. The rear seat is accessed by the flip forward front seats that operate perfectly. The rear
seat features dual padded armrests with built in ashtrays. All of the seats are in great condition with no signs of abuse. The seats are not ripped anywhere and have a
great finish. The carpet is in excellent condition as well with no signs of major wear. The door panels are in excellent condition showing no rips or abuse. The door
panels feature armrests, chrome handles and chrome door locks. The best feature of this car is obviously the convertible top. The top is a power top that works
perfectly. It is a simple one person operation. The front latches function smoothly, the rack does not bind on the way up/down and the factory locks to hold the top
down in the rear quarters are both intact. All in all the original interior is in excellent condition for the age of this car. It shows great and needs no attention. The only
thing this Camaro is missing is a set of old style clear floor mats!!!!
The trunk of this car features the factory trunk paint and is not all dolled up. This Camaro was optioned with a factory trunk light. Also included is a spare tire, tire iron
and the jacking instruction sticker on the trunk lid. We do not have a factory jack for the car. Even the ballast "cocktail shakers" are in both corners of the trunk. The
trunk is clean with no rust holes and does not appear to ever have been patched. The caulk lines are consistent and appear factory. The wiring to the tail lamps looks
clean and appears to have never been tampered with. There is a spot on the trunk floor by the spare tire area that shows a discoloration that looks like a patch. Do not
worry that spot is solid under the car. It appears that something melted on the floor in that spot. Again this Camaro is extra clean thru-out.
The chassis of the car appears extra clean. It looks as if the car was undercoated at sometime in it's lifetime. You can see we did not doll it up for the pics. The floors
are solid and nothing leads me to believe the car has been cut apart. It looks pretty untouched underneath. Look at the pictures and decide for yourself. This is truly
an untouched car. The car does not have any puddling fluid leaks that we have seen. No puddles of oil, power steering fluid or transmission fluid. The car features
factory power steering and manual brakes. The car stops great with no big pulls or lane changes. The power steering functions smoothly with no bind and the pump is
quite with no whinning. Again i am amazed at how nice this car really is.
This is the disclaimer area......the fact is I am a classic car guy and I am very honest about condition. It is just a precaution for my buyers so they feel secure about
what they are buying. Rest assured the car does look excellent but i just don't want you to get here and say why was this not stated in the ad. So here we go. Due to
it's age the car does show a little bit of body inconsistency. The car features 8-10 paint chips(see pics) and some minor dings and body warbles. This car is not
laser straight but it is straight and does not look like the house of mirrors at the carnival. These things are nothing that would be unexpected out of a 15 year old
restored car but it should be noted. The good thing is this camaro does not show any rust, rust holes, floor repairs, panel repairs or large body damage. The car is
100% solid. The interior is original so it does show a few spots of wear from age but they are nothing that distracts from the overall look. I have extensively
photographed the car with over 360 photos so that you can see it's true condition. The car is extra clean and is an unbelievable driver!!!! Personally i would not change
a thing on this car. The car is timeless just the way it is.
